You were asked to share your favorite local businesses in our community, and you delivered; we had so many amazing nominations, and reading through them all (even the nominations for us!) was a heartwarming experience. It was hard to narrow it down to just a few winners! 

We had the honor of going to our winners and presenting them with a certificate of excellence, letting them know that their business was one of your favorites in our patient community. Seeing the surprise on these business owners’ faces was the best part. 

Without further ado, here are your winners for our Love Local campaign: 

Hilligoss Bakery of Brownsburg 

Several individuals in our community highly recommend Hilligoss Bakery’s pastries, especially their donuts, citing that they’re always fresh and delicious, no matter the time of visit. 

With a reputation for doughnuts worth getting up at sunrise for, it’s no surprise that Hilligoss Bakery is a favorite among all of us. From a basic glazed doughnut to their Maple Iced Long John, this bakery caters to all sorts of sweet lovers! 

The Breakfast Company 

Vicki recommends The Breakfast Company in Brownsburg, thanks to the “local owners, great staff, quick service, [it’s a] great gathering place!” 

This Indiana staple has been a favorite since their first location opened in Crawfordsville in 2018 and is often referred to as a “hidden gem” among locals. Whether it’s your first visit or you’re headed back for more of their fluffy pancakes and crispy bacon, the entire team will take good care of you. 

Brie & Bartlett Fine Grazing & Charcuterie 

Emerson (JR) sings his praises of Brie & Bartlett: “They offer a great venue for one-off buys, but more importantly they have a nice place for small groups to have a fun get-together place with great options for eating. The owners are stand-up people and are a hidden gem.” 

Expertly chosen ingredients and delightfully delectable displays make up Brie & Bartlett’s charcuterie boards, and their tight-knit team is always happy to accommodate your needs to craft the most perfect board for your party, date night, or even just for you.

Garage 17 Barbershop 

Sam’s a big fan of Garage 17 Barbershop, glad for their “fast, efficient, and friendly service.” 

This locally owned barbershop is a speedy stop for a beard trim, haircut, and more. Their friendly team is always ready to assist with your hairstyling needs! 

Roots to Wings Barn Market 

Joan is a big fan of owner Missy Ortman for her market that “showcases women artists/makers.” 

With an eclectic mix of handmade items, repurposed furniture, and decorative pieces from local artists, Roots to Wings Barn Market promises a unique experience with each visit.  

From candles and jigsaws to art kits and bedazzled hats, you’re sure to find something special here! 

The Hayloft 

Chris calls The Hayloft the “best place in Brownsburg” with so many items to choose from. 

This farmer’s market-style grocery store is a woman-owned business dedicated to appreciating local farmers, chefs, and artisans around Brownsburg. Whether you’re in need of ingredients for a recipe, gluten-free cupcakes, or some organic goodies, you’re bound to find something delicious at The Hayloft.
