Kaitie E. Alsman, Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Kaitie grew up in Memphis, TN, and volunteered at the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf for many years throughout her schooling. After spending time around the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities, she knew she wanted to get into the world of hearing care.

She went to her undergraduate program at Butler University, which brought her to Indiana, and then attended graduate school at Indiana University. Fun fact: she decided to study Communication Sciences and Disorders after taking an Intro to Audiology course taught by Dr. Shannon!

As one of our Doctors of Audiology, Dr. Kaitie’s typical day consists of assessing hearing in both adults and children, fitting, prescribing, and running maintenance on hearing aids, and testing devices.

Working in patient-centered care and offering pediatric services were two of the reasons why she decided to join our team, and with some influence from her previous professor, we’re glad to have her expertise here at SLA Audiology.

She loves hearing from her patients about how hearing care has changed their lives, from hearing the birds chirping to their grandchildren laughing. It’s incredible to see her work in action each day with the patients she sees regularly!

With her husband, two children, and two dogs, Dr. Kaitie keeps busy outside of the office as well and is a regular attendee of Butler University basketball games.
